Citrix Systems' acquisition of Web application firewall vendor Teros will provide improved security for the NetScaler products. The trend of the application acceleration market subsuming the Web application firewall segment continues. The Web application firewall capability will allow Citrix to compete more effectively in the application delivery control market, and the acquisition removes any viability concerns for Teros customers.
