Fast growth had pushed Crutchfield's data center to the maximum capacity of its cooling unit. The company wanted to reduce the number of physical machines to avoid buying a new air conditioner as well as streamline server management. By implementing Microsoft® Windows Server® 2008 Hyper-VTM on DellTM PowerEdgeTM servers, Crutchfield was able to shrink its server footprint, reduce power and cooling costs, and manage its environment more efficiently.
