Established in 1966, in a period of significant higher education expansion in Australia, Flinders University emphasizes innovation and excellence in educational programs and research across a wide range of disciplines. Having identified numerous shortcomings with the incumbent system, the university reviewed the financial systems currently operating in Australian universities and decided to invest in a new solution. Government approval was then gained to use the existing funding to implement TechnologyOne Financials and TechnologyOne Business Intelligence. Flinders University was already using TechnologyOne Student Management, so the decision to implement the Financials and Business Intelligence solutions meant that the university would be able to integrate all the systems, which would provide better reporting and greater transparency.
