This paper shows how to implement the procedures that are needed for the recovery of an architecture solution after a disaster, including a multi-partitioned IBM eServer iSeries system and IBM TotalStorage with Metro Mirror. The procedure explains how to recover the needed information from the remote IBM Enterprise Storage Server (ESS) so that the different partitions can be rebuilt on a new system installed at the backup site, in case a disaster occurs at the production site. It also explains how to recover the data from the backup ESS on the existing production system in case the production ESS fails.
