Northern Trust Increases Accuracy and Relevance of Intranet Searches With the Google Search Appliance and User-Added Results

Northern Trust is a global leader in delivering investment management, asset and fund administration, and fiduciary and banking solutions to corporations, institutions, and affluent individuals. Northern Trust's need to deliver the latest information and forms was especially important for compliance with government regulations. Risks escalated when employees created and stored personal libraries of information and then referred to those libraries rather than repositories that might contain newer versions of forms. Northern Trust deployed Google Search Appliance (GSA) which resulted to search accuracy improved immediately. User-Added Results also reduced content management burdens for staff.
