Adelphi University has a long history as a liberal arts institution. One of their challenges is to balance the benefits of collaboration and knowledge sharing with the need for data security. The task has only grown more challenging as student's access communication applications such as YouTube and MySpace, download programs such as Skype, and use text messaging 24x7. To help meet their security goals, they asked Verizon Business to perform Threat and Vulnerability assessments, which provide detective, preventive, and corrective measures to help limit the frequency and impact of security incidents.
