Leading TV and Online Sports Broadcaster Raises the Bar With Microsoft Silverlight

Founded in 1992 and based in London, Setanta Sports is a leading Internet and pay-TV sports broadcaster, operating channels in the U.K., Ireland, North America, and Australia. Setanta wanted to evolve its Web-based streaming media service to deliver new levels of subscriber satisfaction. But to accomplish that, Setanta needed much more modern content delivery tools. Working with Microsoft partner EMC Conchango, Setanta built a new client interface based on Microsoft Silverlight and a new content delivery infrastructure based on partner technologies from Swarmcast and Irdeto.
