With SAS DI Studio, a SAS developer can now design his/her application, fully documenting it on the front end, in a structured manner; then migrate that design to the application with minimal effort. DI Studio can, if used correctly, create a structured environment in a painless manner. This paper will discuss the fundamentals of structured analysis and design, show how data flow diagrams and data dictionaries can be created with DI Studio, and show how easy it is to migrate that design to the application.
