RFID technology brings a new experience to credit card payments, but it also comes with new problems. The new contactless payment devices suffer from various vulnerabilities which the paper will discuss. To circumvent these vulnerabilities the paper proposes some solutions which will provide higher privacy and security levels. Finally the paper will take a look at the future: which possibilities arise when using a mobile phone as a payment device.
