The new North East Ambulance Service NHS Trust was formed on 1st July 2006 following the merger of the previous North East Ambulance Service and part of the Teesside, East and North Yorkshire Ambulance Trust. NEAS often doubted the integrity of the data produced by its previous system. With a vast amount of data consisting of thousands of asset lines, searching the system was extremely cumbersome and often resulted in errors. The Asset4000 system significantly reduced the time spent on their monthly accounting, data reconciliation and error management. Their reports to the Department of Health hugely improved in their clarity and accuracy, in turn making them a more efficient part of the NHS Trust.
