The company was consolidating and upgrading several older products from National Semiconductor-based platforms to a new Intel-based platform. They were looking for a cost effective BIOS solution that would give them their full feature requirements. The company lacked the internal resources required to complete all the BIOS update services and deliver a feature rich release to the market. The Calsoft Labs Engineering team was chosen due to its history of working on the Phoenix BIOS and the Award BIOS. The Calsoft Labs Engineering team successfully implemented the requested USB CD-ROM support, power management (ACPI) and Winbond thermal management features in the Award BIOS. Calsoft Labs's implementation was instrumental in enabling the company to achieve the release of a stable, high-quality solution.
