Over the past year Untyped has developed some 40'000 lines of Scheme code for a variety of web-based applications, which receive over 10'000 hits a day. This is one of the largest web-based application deployment of PLT Scheme. The experiences developing with PLT Scheme show that deficiencies in the existing infrastructure can be easily overcome, and can be exploited in advanced language features to improve productivity. The paper concludes that PLT Scheme makes an excellent platform for developing web-based applications, and is competitive with more mainstream choices.
