This whitepaper provides an introduction to Oracle Fusion Middleware MapViewer. MapViewer is robust feature for creating maps from spatial and business data stored in Oracle Database. MapViewer works with Oracle Locator and Oracle Spatial to deliver a rich online mapping facility. MapViewer is a component of Oracle Fusion Middleware. It is a mid-tier toolkit that runs as a service inside an instance of Oracle Container for J2EE (OC4J) or other J2EE container. MapViewer is included with Oracle Application Server. MapViewer version 10.1.3.3 is certified on Oracle WebLogic Server version 9 and higher.
