This white paper project explores a set of alternative energy scenarios, with a particular focus on the possible role for hydrogen within each and development of the associated transition pathways. These scenarios range from a World Markets scenario in which there are no explicit drivers for hydrogen to a Global Sustainability scenario in which hydrogen becomes a central component of the UK energy system. The results of the scenario exercise include storylines of the likely development of hydrogen technologies and infrastructure.
