or more (fighting) Anti-virus clients can be quite a predicament. One instance that caught the author off guard and left him without a proper Recovery Console, SafeMode or Regular Mode. When researching the problem, the only solution that technicians came up with was to reformat with the install disk, - reinstall Windows1 if he could not perform a CHKDSK from the recovery console. The authors first thought when noticing that the recovery console would not see the "C:\" drive, was that, it being SATA, did not get recognized by the poor hardware support the XP CD had to offer.
