MotorCity management recognized that it would need an information technology infrastructure that could integrate voice and data, multimedia applications, wired and wireless, and place them at the guest's fingertips, regardless of where that guest was in the facility, in order to more fully and efficiently enjoy all the hotel and casino have to offer. MotorCity deployed a completely converged end-to-end hospitality solution from Nortel. This network includes core and edge routing switches, a full-featured Nortel IP PBX, Nortel messaging servers for guest and staff messaging, mini-bar management, housekeeping and unified messaging and a Nortel IP contact center for customer service.
