The strategic decision to introduce the new Standard Meta loan went hand-in-hand with the question of how DZ Bank could design the leanest processes for loan processing while working profitably against the backdrop of expected low margins. To do this, DZ Bank needed electronic support capable of providing fast decisions, short lead times, and a high degree of transparency in process steps. The bank found the support it was looking for in TIBCO's BPM suite. TIBCO collaborated with Entory AG in developing a prototype for loan processing. This pilot project gave a convincing performance - the BPM platform was selected to reproduce semi-automatically the entire lending process.
