Organizations have long known the value of using a data warehouse to generate Business Intelligence (BI) for long-term planning. Nexvisionix, based in Irvine, California wanted to take BI to the next level, making it available to line-of-business decision making. Working with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and other elements of the Microsoft Application Platform, Nexvisionix has created a BI solution that supports real-time BI for everyday business use. The company uses SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services to create multidimensional data cubes that support data marts that are dynamically assembled as needed to provide BI guidance and day-by-day fine tuning to business decision making. Nexvisionix credits the integration of the Microsoft Application Platform, including Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, with helping it reduce development time by 50 percent.
