Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing's existing phone system could not keep up with the company's rapid growth in the Asia Pacific in the last two years. Staff had to remember extensive codes for each function on their phone, a feat that was becoming increasingly difficult as the number of staff increased. The company was also facing difficulty in adding new extensions quickly and holding multi-party conference calls proved a challenge. Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing decided to deploy Avaya systems in their new office, which would not only help them save on telephone bills, but also increase productivity of sales managers and support staff. The Avaya solution allowed BvDEP to add new extensions easily in-house.
