MarketWatch.com, one of the top interactive financial media companies, provides fast, relevant, and accurate information to help people make and save money via its BigCharts.com and MarketWatch.com sites. The BigCharts.com site gives individual investors online access to tools that help them follow and understand financial data. But making improvements to the BigCharts site took too long on its original platform, the Sun Solaris operating system. The solution was to migrate the BigCharts site to the Microsoft Windows DNA platform (Microsoft's Web solution platform) and upgrade to Windows 2000 Advanced Server. Now site improvements that once took months to implement take only days, and third parties can more easily integrate BigCharts.com XML-based content into their own sites.
