When Microsoft launched a campaign to improve its employees' experience companywide, it identified helping people become better managers as a key pillar of the campaign. As a result, the company's Corporate Learning organization transformed the way it delivers management development training from an instructor-led method to a blended approach that includes on-the-job learning. The organization delivered the curriculum for the new solution in a digital notebook created in Microsoft Office OneNote 2007. Now, managers at Microsoft are better able to retain key lessons as training is more closely integrated with daily management responsibilities. The new approach has resulted in a 30 percent increase in the use of training materials.
