Internet Gold, the largest ISP in Israel wanted to increase network capacity for its existing international link from Tel-Aviv to Boston. About 75% of Internet Gold's network traffic goes to providing its customers with fast access to web servers outside of Israel. In order to lease sufficient bandwidth to support these international links, they would have to pay US$40,000 per month for one E1 link. After a thorough evaluation, Internet Gold decided to deploy Expand's Accelerator 4000s on its Boston to Tel-Aviv link. The Accelerator 4000 series is built on Expand's patented ECT Technology. ECT offers organizations a comprehensive solution to improve data transmissions for diverse protocols and all applications in a single device.
