As one of the world's largest manufacturers of residential and commercial plumbing products, this Fortune 500 plumbing manufacturer has global operations in Canada, Mexico, South America, and Asia. When SAP upgraded its R/3 application to include a new Graphical User Interface (GUI), the global manufacturer was faced with the dilemma of having to add network capacity. The new GUI increased bandwidth consumption per user session from 2 kbps to 20 kbps. The company needed an immediate solution that would not make significant interruptions to the network or to their daily operations. After careful evaluation the company deployed Expand Networks' Accelerators, a bandwidth-boosting appliance.
