With a growing business and excellent market potential, Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) faced a significant challenge. As business grew, the slow performance of its transaction processing application led to long queues at its branches. CDSL recognized that it needed a new application to handle an increasing volume of transactions and provided better service to its customer base. The front-end of CDSL's existing three-tier application was based on Virtual Basic, Topend middleware and Oracle back-end solutions, however, performance was unable to keep up with transaction demand.
