Daelim Industrial consists of a number of businesses in the construction and petrochemical sectors. The company faced endless demands on its existing Lotus Notes-based groupware (Chorus) including requests for greater collaboration, document management and knowledge management. The challenge was to implement a system that could resolve complexities of its groupware, deliver stability, ensure availability and take advantage of new IT developments. Daelim evaluated BEA AquaLogic User Interaction, deciding it was the best solution to improve the efficiency of its portal system and allowed Daelim to quickly implement a systematic foundation to support customer tasks. BEA AquaLogic User Interaction provided Daelim with web integration and interface services for new types of solutions that can then be implemented on the service infrastructure.
