Macquarie Generation is Australia's largest electricity generator. MacGen needed a portal solution which will allow employees to locate and access multiple types of data in real time across the two power-station sites, as well as at MacGen's head office in Newcastle. Its content needed to be streamlined and made visible in a way that let the user navigate and search for documents in everyday business terms, regardless of where the documents were stored on the system. MacGen deployed BEA systems for its solution and implemented BEA AquaLogic User Interaction as a "Next generation" portal.
