The National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII) program is managed by the U.S. For its NBII project, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) needed to integrate biological data from multiple sources and present the collected information in a common and searchable format for a variety of audiences. USGS deployed BEA systems for its solution and implemented BEA AquaLogic User Interaction Suite to deploy both a partner intranet portal and a public-facing portal.
