The Environment Agency is the leading public body for protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales. It wanted to improve efficiency and educe costs. The challenge was to meet government performance targets. The Environment Agency commissioned Oracle Consulting to build "One Business One System " (1B1S), an enterprise-wide IT infrastructure to replace the fragmented systems used by the Agency's seven regions as well as benefited from the extensive offshore resources of Oracle Solution Services India (OSSI) to develop software customizations rapidly and cost effectively.
