The goal of SOA is to align IT capabilities with business objectives. Instead of building and deploying rigid monolithic applications, enterprises construct reusable services and compose fluid applications. Enterprises can continuously adapt to new business conditions by creating and updating services, by adjusting business rules and policies, and by composing new applications.
