The largest pure natural gas distributor in the United States, this company delivers natural gas to 3.2 million residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and public-authority customers. In the deregulated gas marketplace, customer service has become an increasingly critical differentiator. The company wanted a single, company-wide communications system that could be administered centrally and that would offer uniform functionality at all locations. This company decided to replace all of its Nortel field installations with Avaya IP Office and to adopt Avaya as its corporate standard. The company also upgraded from a DEFINITY to an Avaya S8700 Server with the latest iteration of Avaya Communication Manager.
