Kasembo Transport is a leading Zambian transport company, situated in the copper belt region. Kasembo Transport needed to upgrade its stock and cost control systems, which were run on an outdated version of the Pastel accounting system. Further, with the growth of its business, Kasembo had identified additional requirements for its technology systems, including a workshop job management system, foreign currency transactional capability, and the monitoring of vehicles as individual cost centers. Faced with the option of developing a bespoke add-on system, the company opted instead to source and implements a complete integrated solution. Various options were evaluated, but ultimately the company chose Microsoft Business Solutions - Navision 4.0 software (now part of Microsoft Dynamics), with Microsoft Partner Next Technology handling the implementation.
