St Helens College, a higher and further education institution in the North West of England, needed to find a printer solution to meet the learning needs of more than 5,000 full-time students. However, providing printing services had become costly, particularly when many of its printers were bought on an incremental basis over many years. With such a varied printer inventory, the college had to order many different toners. The College made the decision to go with Dell because of the economies of scale its printing solutions offered. The college has a technology roadmap in place and the Dell printers fitted their vision perfectly. The vendor's cost-of-ownership model mirrored their needs and where they saw their infrastructure heading long-term.
