The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) provides architects a methodology for gaining control over enterprise architecture and IT. TOGAF is a complete package for creating an enterprise architecture. It is based on a decade of refinements to the U.S. Department of Defense Technical Architecture For Information Management (TAFIM). TOGAF is a framework, which typically means it defines the deliverables which work should produce and perhaps the means by which they should be produced. In the case of TOGAF, however, things are just a bit different. This paper explains about this important industry standard.
