The IBM Virtualization Engine TS7700 is a mainframe virtual tape solution implementing a fully integrated, tiered storage hierarchy of disk and tape. The purpose of this paper is to describe best practices for the TS7700 based on theoretical data and practical experience. Copy Consistency Point recommendations are described for various configurations of two and three cluster grids.
