The DB2 Universal Driver provides the following types of connectivity: Type2, Type4, and Type4-XA. While there is a JDBC sample provided for the 'legacy' driver, none has been provided for the DB2 Universal JDBC Driver. This paper describes samples used at the Washington System Center to verify that the driver has been correctly installed. It provides them in two forms the DriverManager and the DataSource. The pax file supplied with this paper contains the elements that can be used in the environment. This paper describes lists the samples and the supplied scripts and shows the changes that must be made so the samples will run successfully in the environment.
