mobilcom Communicationstechnik GmbH (mobilcom) markets mobile telephone contracts for network operators, T-Mobile, Vodafone, E-Plus and O2 through franchise stores and specialty dealers. The company wanted to replace outsourced J.D. Edwards OneWorld system with in-house SAP AG (SAP) solution, required vendor to operate system and provide training for mobilcom administration. They wanted project deadlines to dictate rapid implementation of new infrastructure to migrate data from outsourced vendor to in-house data center. Sun Managed Services designed an infrastructure powered by Sun products to support SAP solutions. Sun Managed Services handled operations during implementation and trained the mobilcom team to manage the system.
