This webcast shows how Microsoft IT manages the large quantities of unsolicited commercial e-mail (spam) and malicious software (malware)-infected messages in its inbound Internet e-mail traffic. The webcast describes how Microsoft IT uses Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 technologies, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, and third-party solutions to reduce the quantity of spam routed through the corporate messaging infrastructure by filtering at the gateway layer. The presenter then explains how Microsoft IT cleans the remaining messages by removing threats posed by viruses, worms, and common malware distribution vectors such as file attachments.
