This paper explores one possibility for expanding Single Sign-On (SSO) from an SAP NetWeaver landscape running on the IBM i5/OS operating system to encompass the entire enterprise. SSO tends to be somewhat modular in nature and sometimes connecting the pieces to create a cohesive SSO environment proves to be elusive. Like most things in Information Technology (IT), there are many ways to accomplish the same thing. SSO is no different and many tactics and technologies have been developed to accomplish SSO. This paper provides an overview and discussion of one approach for expanding SSO from an SAP landscape on i5/OS to include the entire enterprise.
