WebSphere Business Monitor lets the user understand business performance so one can compare performance with expected results. One can use the dashboards to see if KPIs are tracking to their desired targets, and to determine if one has any unforeseen bottlenecks in the business process, such as in activities involving human tasks. One can also use the actual historical results with other tools, such as WebSphere Business Modeler, to improve the business processes, allowing more accurate simulation of proposed changes. This paper gives an overview of some of the dramatic changes in WebSphere Business Monitor 6.1, a major product release offering new capability to do more with BAM, with faster time to value.
