Winebow wanted to maintain a consistent and security-enhanced infrastructure of desktop computers across multiple sites. Although it already used Microsoft Windows Server Update Services for patch management, Winebow wanted to add another layer of security to prevent its staff from facing potential computer compatibility issues, printer support needs, virus outbreaks, or other network problems. Winebow chose Windows Server 2008 to solve its business problem. The company decided to start by upgrading two of its servers running Windows Server 2003 R2 to Windows Server 2008. The upgrade takes advantage of Network Access Protection (NAP) in Windows Server 2008.
