An experiential simulation often works as a better learning tool than a traditional "Lecture + textbook + exam" trio. Today effective Second Life (SL) educational simulations are rare. Those that exist are often closer to replications than simulations and lack metrics that would allow consistent interpretation of results. Two of the Delta L simulations use puzzle-solving narrative to create a teamwork exercise and test teamwork skills. Simulations collect complete data on individual and team performance. This data is used to calculate a variety of sophisticated metrics solving a problem of reliable comparison of results.
