Florida-based AcXess is a Microsoft partner whose resilient on-demand application solutions provide a virtual platform to help customers increase business and avoid loss of revenue during emergency situations. For the past several years, many of the organization's customers have begun asking for more scalable, flexible, on-demand solutions. To meet those requirements in a cost-effective way, AcXess decided to design new services with virtualization technology. The company deployed Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 Service Pack 1, which it can use to run multiple operating systems on one physical server. In doing so, AcXess has reduced its costs, increased the flexibility of its services to respond to demand, and made IT administration easier. The company has also simplified its own disaster recovery capabilities and increased its profitability.
