Virtualization is a technique for organizations with at least three servers to consolidate and get better use out of server resources. In simple terms, a well-designed virtualization solution combines the right servers (often blade servers), storage devices, and virtualization software to reduce the number of server boxes, mitigate possible hardware failures and significantly reduce the risk of downtime.
