This paper provides an introduction to the design and sizing parameters for the HP ProLiant ML330 G3 server as a Microsoft Exchange 2003 server. The paper includes test results for the HP ProLiant ML330 G3 server running Exchange 2003 Standard Edition on an ATA RAID subsystem. The HP ProLiant ML330 G3 server comes standard with one ATA hard drive and an integrated dual channel Ultra ATA-100 RAID controller and can be easily upgraded to support fault-tolerant RAID configurations. When configured with four drives in a RAID set, the HP ProLiant ML330 G3 server may be used as an Exchange server for small to medium size organizations.
