The bank needed a consistent way to establish a central location for all policies and procedures and provide all employees with easy access to documentation. The challenge was to share information with specific employee groups and reduce e-mail announcements as well as collaborate on strategic projects. Working with Saltmine, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, Columbia River Bank implemented a portal solution that could meet the bank's communication and collaboration needs. In addition to Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003, major solution components include: Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003, used for document search and library functionalities and Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services, used for group collaboration.
