Facing a growing number of increasingly complex cases, Australia Federal Police (AFP) needed a better way to manage, store, and search email and file system information. Microsoft Exchange backups, search, and recovery were too slow and PST files, used for archiving email, posed too many risks. While evaluating software archiving options, AFP brought Symantec onto the case. Results include the ability to conduct 80 percent faster email discovery, a 96 percent reduction in Microsoft Exchange backup times, and a 92 percent reduction in email recovery times.
