The Bangkok Bank was running Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP and wanted to adopt the latest operating system technology to ensure it had a stable, secure environment that could be supported by a small number of support staff. Bangkok Bank chose to deploy Windows Vista in early 2007 as part of a series of new technology implementations. The solution provides a secure environment, improved productivity for employees, simplified deployment to its remote branches, and is being used as a positive marketing tool to attract both customers and new employees. With its integration with Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, Bangkok Bank believes the enriched business intelligence capabilities provided by the Microsoft technologies will provide substantial benefits for the organization.
