A deadline is a deadline. And nowhere is that more important than in the media. The Economist Group is the leading source of analysis on international business and related world affairs. They wanted to enable a seamless migration from legacy TDM-based telephony to a fully converged voice and data network. Nortel provided a core network based on the Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 8600. The Nortel Communication Server 1000 provides IP telephony, and the Nortel Ethernet Routing Switch 5520 provides edge connectivity with Power over Ethernet to IP handsets and wireless access points. Wireless connectivity for voice and data is delivered by the Nortel WLAN 2300 portfolio and Nortel WLAN Handset 2211s.
