The City of Newark (Ohio) Water and Wastewater Department's mission is to enhance the quality of life in Newark by providing essential water-related services and protecting the water environment. One of the challenges facing of the wastewater treatment plant, is to run these processes as efficient businesses. The company uses the Tecnomatix FactoryLink Human Machine Interface/Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (HMI/SCADA) software from Siemens PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) Software. At each site, the FactoryLink solution monitors all operations and controls devices such as filters and pumps through integration with an Allen-Bradley programmable logic controller. FactoryLink also produces data for a variety of daily and monthly reports.
