Perlos Corporation, headquartered in Finland, is the world's largest supplier of mechanical modules for the telecommunications industry and one of the world's biggest manufacturers of dry-powder inhalers for the pharmaceutical industry. The company challenge was to lower cost economies that are leading to price erosion with tool design and manufacturing time is commonly 5 to 6 weeks; but this is still far from customer expectations and customers demand continuous improvement in end-product surface quality. To meet these challenges, Perlos uses NX software - the digital product development solution from Siemens PLM Software. NX provides the high-end tool design and manufacturing applications Perlos needs to accelerate operations.
